Description
Spirally wound gaskets are constructed of a continuous strip of preformed V shaped metal which is wound spirally with pure graphite and inorganic fibers as fillers instead of asbestos, which is excellent in gas sealing and heat resistance. The complex combination of a single metal ply and soft filler offers greater resiliency than any other metallic gasket and therefore provides good compensation for relaxation, temperature or pressure cycling, and shock or vibration. Because there is a variety of sizes, shapes, and materials available such as copper, iron, stainless steel, monel, aluminium, and combinations of metal, pure graphite and inorganic fibers, please specify the details referring to the illustration below. A sample is acceptable for order made gaskets, but the standard shapes are illustrated below for your information. Applications: Pipe flanges, tanks, valve bonnets and other equipment. Size D2: 72.6mm, D3: 92.5mm. When ordering please specify the material from a)Expanded Graphite, b) Non Asbestos, c) PTFE.
