Linethrower 250 – SOLAS line-throwing appliance
Self-contained line-throwing appliance: a plastic case with end cap holding 250 m of 4 mm line, an integral striker mechanism and a rocket. Fired with a twist grip, it passes a line from ship to ship or ship to shore and can also be used to reach a swimmer in distress. Ships normally carry four units to meet SOLAS requirements.
